Reasons to get an Electric Car

Companies and Government

The electric car movement is on its way and it is going to happen even quicker than you can imagine. For example, the major UK luxury brand Jaguar says that they are wanting to go fully electric by the year 2025. Another car company Volvo has also said that they wish to make fully electric cars by the year 2030. There are many other car companies saying that they wish to go fully electric by the year 2035 which suggests that there possibly will not be many if any, petrol/diesel cars in the near future.

There are also governments all around the world who are setting targets to start the ban of all petrol and diesel vehicles to stop the impact they have on climate change. The UK government has said that they wish to end the sales of new petrol and diesel cars by 2030. This will mean that they are on track to be the fastest G7 countries to reduce the carbon intensity from their vehicles. The second step the UK government is wanting to implement is that they want to see all new vehicles have zero emissions at the tailpipe from the year 2035. These plans are going to be helped with £1.8 billion invested into grants and infrastructure.

Pollution

One benefit of electric vehicles starting to be introduced around the world is that they will improve the quality of the air due to less harmful gasses in the air. Cars that are non-electric emit many harmful gasses such as nitrogen dioxide, benzene, carbon monoxide. These types of gasses can be very harmful to our bodies and may cause, lung and heart conditions such as chronic heart disease and bronchitis. Thankfully though electric vehicles do not emit these gasses as they do not need them to be able to run.

Fuel

Another big reason why you should go electric is due to the fuel prices constantly rising. With electric cars, there are some places that allow you to charge your vehicle for FREE. Most electric vehicle owners also charge while at home which also saves money and will not cost nearly as much as it would pay for fuel in a standard vehicle.
